New Guide for Business Travellers

Document Actions
The National Venue Show was the launch venue for the new Tees Valley Business Travellers Guide dedicated to national and international business visitors. The 40-page brochure contains information on 22 conference venues in the Tees Valley area offering meeting facilities from 2 – 2000 delegates and ranging from historic hotels and modern stadia to 19th century sailing ships.

The guide also gives details on Tees Valley Tourism Bureau's commission free venue finding service, which promises to provide event organisers and agents information on the best venue and the best price for their events - all within 24 hours.

Victoria Smiley, Business Tourism Officer at Tees Valley Tourism Bureau said 'Tees Valley is not the most likely choice of destination for event organisers but we are probably one England's best kept secrets. With a wide choice of venues from 3 red star to 4 red star offering realistic and competitive costs and with easy access from the North and South and regular flights from London to Durham Tees Valley Airport, we've got a lot to shout about'

The Tees Valley business tourist trade has been growing steadily in the region in recent years and now represents 37% of tourism spend.

Copies of the guide will be distributed nationally and will be available at a number exhibitions and trade shows.
