HARTLEPOOL TO HOST TALL SHIPS

HARTLEPOOL is celebrating today after winning its bid to host the prestigious Tall Ships Race. The town will welcome up to 125 tall ships in 2010 after being chosen by race organisers Sail Training International to be the finishing point for the race.

Durham Tees Valley Airport, the UK's fastest growing regional airport, left neighbouring giant Manchester behind in a recent poll of the North's favourite airports conducted by Cheapflights.co.uk. Durham Tees Valley Airport was the clear winner due to its reliable transport links, efficient check-in and security checks.

The sky's the limit for our new Tees Valley website and business travellers guide

Our newly designed website and 'Conference & Meetings Guide" was unveiled at Middlesbrough Football Club on Thursday 13th October at 1pm with a champagne reception. At the same time the Bureau released 100 balloons into the skies above the stadium with a competition attached directing those lucky enough to find a balloon to the website!

New Guide for Business Travellers

The National Venue Show was the launch venue for the new Tees Valley Business Travellers Guide dedicated to national and international business visitors. The 40-page brochure contains information on 22 conference venues in the Tees Valley area offering meeting facilities from 2 – 2000 delegates and ranging from historic hotels and modern stadia to 19th century sailing ships.
